SPROUTS CAFE

Since 2008 Sprouts Cafe has been serving hot lunches, housing Community Eats and fulfilling brownie orders on the UBC campus. Previously located in the Pit of the Nest, Sprouts Cafe has reopened in the LIFE Building in January 2019. Sprouts Cafe is open 4 days a week and staffed entirely by volunteers.

The Sprouts Cafe menu rotates weekly, but you can expect to find some of our classics like Carrot Lox Toast, Seasonal Stews, Salads, Granola, Cookies and more.

Take-out containers are only available for our hot meals, salads, and breakfast items for a small fee. We do not have to-go cups or bags for baked goods.

We ask that you please bring your own containers and to-go mugs, or enjoy your meal in the cafe!

Sprouts Cafe also serves 30 free meals a day, if you or someone you know is looking for a free meal just stop by and grab a free meal card. They are located by the till and outside the cafe space, but feel free to ask at the till if you can’t find them.

Sprouts Cafe operations are fully self-sustained and our at-cost menu enables us to reinvest all sales back. This program requires no external funding.
